Aetrex Worldwide, Inc., the footwear solution company, has unveiled Albert 2 scanner – a new 3D-scanning technology for foot.
The novelty features 3D measurement, pressure gauges, FitHQ software and a voice-activated learning centre to help the retailers improve shopping experience for the customers by helping them find their right fit product.
The development eliminates the use of the traditional multi-step processes to drive footwear size of the customers.
Once the customer steps onto the Albert 2 scanner installed in the stores, the machine can automatically yield the measurements of static and dynamic pressure, affording detailed insight regarding arch types and pressure points all within 20 seconds.
The scanner also gives the 3D profile of both feet, with details of the length, width, girth, instep and arch height within 1/10 of a millimetre.
Once the data is received it is then used to develop the 3D model of a customer’s feet.
The FitHQ software integrated with artificial intelligence can be used at the retailer point-of-sale and online channel and allows the staff to assist the customers in finding the appropriate footwear with ideal fit according to brand, style and size.
Also, the voice-activated learning centre helps the store associates in using the software and teaches the customers on topics like foot health and Aetrex orthotics products.
The technology will be launched in February 2021 and Aetrex’s Albert 2 will be made available to retailers with its basic kiosk package, starting at US $ 2,495.
