Xi’an Typical Industries Co. Ltd., the company behind the popular brand ‘typical’, produces 8,00,000 sets annually, right from basic to highly automated sewing solutions. The company has a European division, which is the prime source of R&D, responsible for bringing out differentiated sewing solutions under the brand “Vetron”.
“Typical brand is mainly for garment industry, covering the entire range of sewing solutions, from basic to automats; whereas Vetron focuses on heavy duty industry for thick materials. Not only that, Vetron produces ultrasonic fusing machines and Hot Air welding machines,” informed Jinshan (Michael) Chen, Vice General Manager, Xi’an Typical Industries Co. Ltd.
Europe and North America are the two continents where Vetron brand is promoted to compete among other heavy duty machine manufacturers, while in regions like South America, South Asia, South East Asia, the focus is primarily Typical Machines. India and Bangladesh are other two key regions for the company and in spite of the price-sensitive nature of the market, Jinshan does not believe in compromising quality because the quality always comes at a price. “There is no point in fighting competition by reducing prices. We would like to assert our position with our service and the value that our machines bring to the customer’s production,” said Jinshan.

Today when the Chinese industry is not doing that well, Typical plans to re-position itself as a progressive company by introducing new innovations. “Our new brand Vetron has been appreciated by the industry, and now for Typical, we will add more value products, since the future of this industry is in new technology. We intend to give our customers new products that can reduce manpower,” averred Jinshan.
Proudly presenting its innovation award winner – Hot Air Welding Vetron 5374 technology, Jinshan explained, “The Vetron 5374 aims to reduce heat losses with a new air heater, newly-designed air nozzle, nanoporous thermal insulation and air channel. The newly-designed nozzle helps to improve the transfer of energy to the tape, and accordingly 90% of energy can be saved when compared to previous systems.”
X-Feed system by Typical Sewing, is another of its award winning innovations, first unveiled in CISMA 2011 that aims to address many sewing problems that were otherwise taken for granted. X-Feed is characterized by a split bottom feed, in which the feed dog is split into two independent feed dogs. Due to the alternating movement of both feed dogs, the material transport is continuous and calm. Without any major effort, X-Feed can be installed on one and two needle machines. By the use of this system the machine can work with 35% lower thread tension, producing uniform seams and an improved stitch quality – both on thin and thick materials.
