Mimaki USA, one of the leading manufacturers of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, has introduced the JV150 series printing and CJV150 series cutting and printing devices. Featuring the advanced Piezo technology print heads capable of print speeds of up to 605 square feet per hour, the JV150 series printers are available in two sizes: 54-inch JV150-130 and 64-inch JV150-160. These printers can use either SS21 eco-solvent inks that are fast-drying and can print on hundreds of media choices or Sb53 dye-sublimation inks. These models broaden the JV and CJV series families to bring proven platform capabilities to print service providers demanding high quality, versatility and reliability but in smaller volumes.
Variable drop printing and MAPS3 (Mimaki Advanced Pass System 3) anti-banding technology of the printers ensures precise and accurate print quality even at high speeds. The optimum waveform technology achieves precise ink droplet placements onto the media. The patented media heat system ensures uniform ink drying and produces consistent image quality across the entire width of the media. Eight ink channels provide the flexibility to produce virtually limitless applications on a wide range of flexible media.
The cutting functionality in the printers allows customized production of labels, decals, T-shirt transfers, vehicle markings, package prototypes and more in a single unit. Over-cut and corner-cut functions reduce waste by ensuring clearly cut edges with no uncut fragments. The segment correction function facilitates precision cutting over long-length prints, even if the image is distorted. Also included is a cut-and-print function for pre-cutting before printing, which prevents common problems such as film separation and other issues, related to post-cutting on thin materials.
