Lectra unveils innovative Industry 4.0 solutions for Fashion, Furniture and Automotive industry of Asia at the 2019 edition of China International Sewing Machinery and Accessories (CISMA) exhibition in Shanghai, China.
Under the banner ‘Lectra 4.0: Digitization and Connecting your value chain’, the company product portfolio included solutions – Fashion On Demand by Lectra, Furniture On Demand by Lectra and VectorAutomotive iP9 fabric-cutting solution for automotive seating and interior.
Launched for the first time, Fashion On Demand by Lectra and Furniture On Demand by Lectra automated the entire process from order processing to fabric cutting. The two solutions include a digital cutting platform and single ply cutting solution Virga®, designed to fulfill the specific need of each industry.
The novelty will let the manufacturers manage their workflow of both small series and customised order production – thereby letting them easily switch from mass production to small-batch runs as well as optimise the product personalisation process in the cutting room.
Moreover, the company also released an additional version of its cloud applications, which will assist with more informed development and bidding decisions in a garment making process.
The Quick Estimate software generates quick fabric consumption simulation so that the order is placed wisely leading to no shortage or excess of fabric. The Quick Nest marker-making software eases out the RFQ process, and helps manufacturers to respond faster with competitive pricing, which also brings speed and agility to production through parallel processing of marker lists.
Furthermore, the VectorAutomotive iP9 is the first zero-buffer fabric-cutting solution for wide variety of materials. The solution thus ensures fabric saving on a large scale annually when compared to other solutions.
The solutions were showcased with demonstration to help audience better understand the products. “Lectra has long had a finger on the pulse of Asia’s markets. We are ready to support manufacturers operating here as they meet Industry 4.0 objectives as fast as technology allows,” said Javier Garcia, President, Asia-Pacific, Lectra.
