Leading industrial machine needle manufacturer, Groz-Beckert, is showcasing a totally new booth concept using AR to display its technological innovations in the ongoing ITMA, Europe.
The company’s showcase includes developments in all areas, including the Groz-Beckert Academy and the Technology and Development Center (TEZ), in the booth’s Innovation Hub.
The TEZ is the innovation platform for the Groz-Beckert Group and offers a strong basis for the many exhibition pieces found in the Innovation Hub. Visitors visiting the booth can speak to TEZ experts in person about the challenges, plans and to learn about the potentials for creating joint projects.
The knitting area includes several products including SANSF, the company’s new special application needle for large diameter circular knitting machine. Using the AR environment, visitors can examine the circular knitting exhibits in detail. The booth is using info graphics to digitally explain the detailed overview of the characteristics and usage. Moreover, the flat knitting area consists of two different innovations – in fine gauge and technical textiles.
In weaving, the company is showcasing its latest generation of drawing-in-machine, the WarpMasterPlus. Also on display is the new HyTecP jet strips (used for producing leather substrates), which exhibits greater hardness compared to the conventional jet strip, offering excellent scratch-resistance to damage. Moreover, GEBECON and EcoStar felting needles are being presented using AR as an acrylic model of needling machine.
The company has also introduced its new dur needle for sock machine, in the legwear field with increased hook and latch stability, and a modified slot design. In Innovation Hub, AR station will display the detailed view of its technical properties and advantages of the needle.
The Tufting exhibiting zone focuses on the customers’ demand for quality product, showcasing tools modules that are best to tackle the challenges.
For nonwoven industry, Groz-Beckert has come up with InLine card clothing series (a patented manufacturing process), through which various metallic card clothing can be produced to meet the highest quality standards, while ensuring optimal process reliability.
Furthermore, the sewing area consists of needles like SAN 10 and the SAN 10 XS, suitable for the most challenging applications. The innovation hub also demonstrates the patented INH Quality Management (Ideal Needle Handling), which offers smooth and time-saving handling of broken and damaged sewing machine needles during the operations.
