Smart factory includes a combination of production, information and communication technologies, with the potential for integration of these technologies across the entire manufacturing supply chain. Though industries such as automotive and IT have already started building a smart factory, it is only now that apparel industry is sensing the need for such factories to combat the rising cost challenge and avoid miscellany of information which they face due to the traditional practices.
