Designers seemed to be taking different routes to create the illusion of added dimensions to their respective silhouettes. A step away from pleating, larger lapels were taken into play, as Thomas Tait and Erdem folded a single collar and a larger pleat on a dress leaving it upright. Antonio Berardi, Christopher Kane and Jean-Pierre Braganza overturned waists on skirts and pants to give way to background prints and textures. The runways at Peter Pilotto, Jil Sander and David Tlale shared a common strategy of folding within the dress and not leaving it undone which resembled several random creases. This detail can be included on a raw edgy silhouette or a futuristic one depending on the area of its application and execution.
