Milan will host its womenswear fashion week from February 21 to 27, following New York and London. Last September’s event had a very full schedule, and the one for the next Milan Fashion Week, which will focus on the women’s ready-to-wear collections for Fall/Winter 2023–24, is less hectic but still very exciting.
The schedule includes 165 events, compared to 210 in the previous edition, including 77 presentations, roughly 30 off-calendar activities, and 59 shows, five of which are in digital format, as opposed to 68 programs (with seven being online) six months ago.
Moreover, a few performances will be featured under special events, like the Raxxy show or the Benetton show on Saturday.
On Wednesday, February 22, Iceberg, a renowned Italian brand owned by the Gilmar group that hasn’t appeared on the Milan womenswear calendar since 2018, will present the first show of the fashion week.
Similar to the well-known Italian brand Luisa Beccaria, Trussardi chose a presentation for this season. Elisabetta Franchi also withdrew and will appear on Saturday, May 25, outside of the scheduled time.
As a form of protest, Jean has chosen to skip Milan Fashion Week because the Italian Fashion Chamber (CNMI) ceased funding WAMI.
