Coloro is a 3D system which delineates colour built on a distinct 7-digit code representing the exact point where Hue, Lightness and Chroma intersect. The product will guarantee that fashion and textile professionals can work seamlessly in devising the exact colour they need with utmost ease and precision.
Detlev Pross, Leader of Coloro launch at CTIC commented: “There is opportunity to add massive value to the fashion industry by improving colour decisions and making colour communication consistent and accurate. Coloro combines colour science, colour technology and consumer research to dramatically change how creative professionals work with colour across industry functions, from creatives to supply chain to strategists, improving workflow at every step.”
The final outcome is a combination of both physical and digital tools supplemented with comprehensive consulting programmes that aim to revolutionize colour intelligence in the industry.
Duncan Painter, CEO of Ascential added, “As a company, one of our key priorities is to bring innovation and value to the industries we serve. By listening to the needs of our customers, we identified a gap in the market for a product that would transform the global colour industry. This exciting new product will help us serve our customers even better.”
From the approximate 1.6 million colours, 3,500 have been carefully chosen for showcase in the Coloro products, created with inputs from trend forecasters at WGSN, colour connoisseurs at CTIC, and around 80 leading industry experts from all over the world. Coloro Workspace, a digital tool will launch in June, is poised to change the digital experience of working with colour and open new doors for creative compositions.
