The much awaited Sabyasachi x H&M collaboration is finally launching on 12 August 2021 in 48 markets worldwide at 11 AM IST.
Themed ‘Wanderlust’, the collection will present rich textiles in modern as well as classic Indian silhouettes that resonate with the modern global nomad mindset.
“I am happy to announce the new date for the collaboration with H&M, as it gives us the opportunity to spread the Sabyasachi aesthetic to a wider audience in India and worldwide. Due to the complexities of the COVID-19 situation, we had to put the launch on hold but I’m eagerly looking forward to bringing this ‘ready-to-wear’ collection that will bring relaxed sophistication to everyday life in understated yet glamorous styles,” Sabyasachi Mukherjee said in an exclusive Zoom meeting.
Priced between Rs. 999 and Rs. 9,999, the collection features a complete fashion wardrobe for both women and men, including accessories, jewellery, footwear and sunglasses.
Trending styles such as long flowy dresses, tunics, blouses, breezy shirts, wide pants and more in soothing but rich fabrics, make this collection timeless and wearable.
“At H&M, we are thrilled to be able to announce the new date for our collaboration with iconic Indian designer Sabyasachi. At a time like this, we believe people value the use of homegrown crafts and textiles more than ever and that’s something no one can do better than Sabyasachi. We look forward to taking this stunning collection to as many people across the global as we can,” Maria Gemzell, Head of New Development, H&M said in an exclusive Zoom meeting. |
The collaboration also features a first-of-its-kind collaboration saree, exclusively designed for customers in India.
A key highlight of this collection are Indian textile and print traditions brought to life by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation, meticulously crafted and embroidered in multi-cultural silhouettes.
Interestingly, a lot of manufacturing was done in India and some of H&Ms best teams were involved to make this happen.
Known for injecting a sense of timelessness in his creations, Sabyasachi has been committed to create wearable, investment pieces that will stay in the wardrobe forever – a collection that will be loved across the board.
The vibe is very “resort meets streetwear, travel chic, with a global aesthetic, which you can wear anywhere in the world. The garments are easy, fuss-free, gender neutral and interchangeable, where you can play around by mixing different sizes, prints, etc. and yet, they are glamorous,” Sabyasachi said.
Keeping the ongoing pandemic situation in mind, H&M is committed to offer its customers a safe shopping experience.
