With a new campaign starring Dakota Johnson, Gucci unveils an updated version of ‘The Jackie’ bag. In addition to the natural grain, patent, or precious leather, the new Jackie is also offered in the iconic GG Supreme canvas and other finishes.
As part of the campaign, Dakota Johnson is photographed by Glen Luchford as she navigates Los Angeles in many iterations of the Jackie 1961, displaying different looks and each perfectly suited to the situation.
The Jackie was launched in 1961 and has since adorned the arms of many famous people all over the world, becoming a solid pillar of the house’s collections.
In 1999 and 2009, the original model had its first upgrade, which was based on modern intuition and attitude. The modern Jackie 1961, with its slimline shape and universal outlook, strives to surpass the traditional. It is offered in a variety of colours and three distinct sizes—mini, small and medium—which emphasise the design’s inherent adaptability.
