Burberry recently announced the appointment of Giorgia Belloli and Delphine Sonder as the customer and innovation officer and chief merchandising officer, respectively. Both roles are newly created by the British fashion house.
Belloli will be in charge of overseeing the newly established innovation function, digital product and analytics team, as well as worldwide e-commerce.
On the other hand, the responsibility of overseeing product strategy, global planning, and merchandising for ready-to-wear falls on Sonder.
Both will join the executive board and report directly to the CEO of Burberry Jonathan Akeroyd. Moreover, both will be located at Burberry’s headquarters in London.
“I am delighted to welcome Giorgio and Delphine to Burberry. Their appointments reinforce our ambitions for this next phase, building on our strong legacy of innovation and strengthening the alignment between our commercial offering and our new creative vision. I look forward to working closely with them both to progress our strategic priorities and realise Burberry’s potential as the modern British luxury brand,” said Akeroyd.
