At Première Vision Paris last week, The Woolmark Company showcased the latest edition of The Wool Lab along with recent innovations in Merion wool and highlighted the fibre as the premier ingredient in luxury apparel. The company exhibited warp-knit Merino fabrics, which possess the stability of wovens with the elasticity of knits, and knitted denim, which is popular for women’s wear because of its body-hugging properties and next-to-skin comfort.
Other textile innovations showcased were NEULANA Air, a premium woven fabric made from Australian Merino wool, which offers warmth without the weight.
