
Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, former adviser to Pakistan’s prime minister was the chief guest at the 14th Textile Asia Exhibition which recently took place in Karachi, Pakistan at the Expo Centre. Dr Baig revealed that the country is expecting business deals worth US $ 700 million. The machinery and equipments display at the exhibition are of immense utility to manufacturers producing value added products for increasing volume of exports, he said and hoped that local businessmen would benefit from this technology by adding value to their products. Textile Asia Expo also featured businessmen to businessmen (B2B) meetings among the local traders and foreign delegates. Over 386 business delegates from 39 countries visited the exhibition where around 515 international and 35 local companies showcased their brands.
