Through an aggressive marketing strategy, the fair offered better exposure to the exhibitors than the past editions and also attracted the right mix of visitors, manufacturers, exporters, domestic brands and buying offices. Sourcing teams from eminent buying offices thronged Apparel House looking to expand their reach into other product categories and were satisfied with the content of the fair. “I am very happy with the experience, especially discovering new product developments in knitted fabrics at Pratibha Syntex and also prints at Rasik Vatika,” said Bipin Sehgal, Country Manager, All Saints.
Leading manufacturers from both the textile and accessory segment such as Grasim, Donear, Pratibha Syntex Limited, Winsome, K G Denim, Pallava Group, Rasik Vatika, RST Rayon, KRF Limited, PC Jain, Netflex, etc. exhibited their range of collections creating an opportunity for the garment industry to source their requirements for trims, embellishments, fabrics, laces and accessories throughout the three days. “In majority of fairs, though there is a huge footfall, it doesn’t convert into business. Through Source Zone, we have got the right mix of serious visitors and most importantly we were also able to get business,” informed Ram Srinivasan, General Manager – Marketing, K G Denim Limited, one amongst the many happy exhibitors.
Apart from the various stalls at Source Zone, the Fashion Forward Trend pavilion also attracted the maximum number of visitations as they put to display two forecasting trends of S/S’15 called Mapped Identities and Bio DNA. Further, Apparel Online put together a one of its kind seminar on sustainability, an open house where participants could direct their questions and doubts towards the industry informed panellists. Hosted on the second day of Source Zone, the seminar saw panellists such as Shreyaskar Chaudhary, MD – Pratibha Syntex; Jayant Khera, Textile Expert – Novozymes; Suvodeep Mukherjee, BVCPS; JP Dar, Sustainability Expert, Taffles; and Chandrima Chatterjee, Director – Compliance, AEPC and In-Charge of Disha Project, talk about what sustainability meant to them.
