
The Mumbai Textile Merchants’ Mahajan (MTMM) will organise its ‘MTMM FABRIC FAIR 2’ in Mumbai on 9th and 10th January 2023 in which 200 firms are expected to showcase their latest fabric collection. Roop Rashi, Textile Commissioner will inaugurate the event.
The event will be spread over 35,000 square feet and will display a large collection of fabrics for summerwear, ethnicwear, bridalwear, school uniforms etc.
MTMM is a 143-year-old organisation and mainly consists of traders of Mulji Jetha Cloth Market (MJ Market) and a cluster of outside traders. Considered as Asia’s oldest cloth market, MJ Market spans across 4.5 acres in C Ward of Mumbai.
Pre-registration is mandatory for the event.
As per the organisers, a footfall of more than 10,000 trade visitors traders including garment manufacturers, retailers, fashion designers, agents, importers-exporters are expected during the event.
Top companies like Arvind Mills, Mafatlal, Ruby Mill, Siyaram, D&J, Shrijee Lifestyle, Silk India, Mitva and many more are expected to participate in the fair.
The fabrics on display will cover a wide range of handlooms, linen, pure cotton, silk, Banarasi fabric, modal, bamboo and tencel, embroidered fabric, dyed/ dyeable fabric etc.
