Akshay Sharma, CEO, Magnum Resources Pvt. Ltd. feels that most of the footfall at GTE ’16 is from south and west India, but expected reputed names haven’t turned up yet till the third day of the expo.
The company is the agent of technology providers like Brother, Eastman, H&H, Pegasus, Sakho, etc. At GTE, it is exhibiting Brother machines, especially highlighting the S7300A, with 4 types of feeding mechanisms and a sensor to auto detect the feeding required. It is the only machine with leftover thread of 3 mm, claims Akshay. Besides this, Magnum introduced flat seamer from Pegasus. New technologies from H&H and Sakho, with cutting table and fusing machine from Eastman and new embroidery machine from Ricoma, are also being displayed at the fair.
Magnum has also introduced GTSPL who is also an agent for Zoje machines. Akshay believes that future of apparel industry is in high-end machines since manpower is getting costlier.
