The second edition of International Textile Fair (ITF), Dubai is set to take place at World Trade Centre on April 26 and 27. This season, ITF is bringing together over 200 international textile manufacturers in the region, along with a panel of industry experts to provide technical expertise to visitors at the fair. Today, the country stands as the world’s fourth largest trading centre for fashion and apparel, raking in an estimated US $ 17.5 billion annually. This makes it the second largest trading sector behind oil and also one of UAE’s largest employers in the industrial sector. The UAE is now becoming the world’s leading centre for textile industry automation with the presence of about 150 apparel manufacturing companies accounting for about 5.5 per cent of the world’s annual textile and clothing sales.
