The US-based Electronics for Imaging (EFI), displayed their VUSTEk H series printers and EFI Reggiani pigment ink technology for direct-to-textile production at the recently held FESPA Global Expo in Berlin (Germany).
While VUSTEk H series printers are built to offer high-quality and better productivity up to 109 boards per hour, notably; the Reggiani pigment ink technology provides a faster, eco-friendly production process with an inline polymer that takes less amount of water and processing time. Additionally, it allows designing with fine-detail on various fabrics.
Furthermore, at the event, EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340 was also exhibited, which is used for soft signage printing.
The visitors at FESPA 2018 also witnessed EFI’s Fiery Command Workstation and its Fiery Wide’s version 7 that help in combining the production processes by providing the capacity to manage cut-sheet, continuous-feed, wide-format and superwide-format digital print devices from a single-user interface (UI).
The company’s technologies, including the products it presented in Berlin, help create digital production operations that help customers achieve better results with less wastage and that too in quick time.
“It is great to have the same UI at various workstations to manage both of our cut-sheet and wide-format printers,” said Peer Rudiger, Managing Director, Madienhaven. He further elucidated that EFI’s technology can help in saving 10 per cent in downtime, as there is no need to switch applications for various printers and Fiery servers.
EFI is transforming the imaging process from analogue to digital and it’s not just the printers or inks that the German company has introduced to the textile sector, they are also building their name in the software segment. Its Fiery Design Pro includes various plug-ins for different photoshop applications that helps in efficient textile designing and file preparation.
