
The 14th edition of the Dhaka International Textile and Garment Machinery (DTG) exhibition raised its curtains today at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Dhaka, Bangladesh. The four-day long event is featuring more than 1,000 exhibitors from 35 countries including India, the UK, the US, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Hong Kong and more.
A variety of equipment, technologies, services and information concerning the textile and garment processing and production aspects are up on display at the event, being jointly organized by Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), Chan Chao Int’l Co. Ltd., and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd.
Mayer & Cie, Pai Lung, Santoni, Shima Seiki, Stoll, Terrot, Picanol, M&R, CTMTC, Fong’s, Groz-Beckert, Karl Mayer, LMW, Rieter, Saurer, Truetzschler and Toyot are few among those international brands that are exhibiting their technological innovations at the fair to tap better business opportunities in the Bangladesh market.

Over the past few years, Bangladesh has witnessed rapid development of the export-oriented garment industry. The country has become the world’s No. 2 garment exporter after China, with the garment and textile sector contributing 80 per cent to its Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
DTG since its inception in 2004 is known for its high footfall of international exhibitors and trade visitors. It is widely seen as a must-visit, leading textile & garment machinery fair in Bangladesh.
