The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) will organise a day-long annual CEOs Conference, Textile Pinnacle (Texpin) on September 9 in Coimbatore. The annual 11th edition of TEXPIN coincides with the 58th Annual General Meeting of the trade association.
The conference will stress on ‘Textile Industry – Towards 2020’. It aims to equip the industry to mitigate the challenges, capitalise on the emerging opportunities and achieve a constant growth rate in the coming years.
TEXPIN will discuss topics like value addition, vertical integration, innovation, automation, prudential-financial management, human resource management, and technology management to apprise the textile players about the latest innovations.
Additionally, domestic issues such as Demonetisation, GST, compliance of code of conduct in labour laws, sustainability, etc. will also be discussed to give essential inputs for strategic planning against these challenges.
The textile entrepreneurs will further deliberate on the imbalance between the international and domestic raw material prices when compared to competitors like Vietnam and Bangladesh.
The first ever CEOs Conference was held in the year 1997. Since then, SIMA has been hosting the discussions to update the textile entrepreneurs on various challenges, opportunities and developments in the sector.
