Textile major Vardhman Textiles Ltd. has recently got approval to setup two major units in Himachal Pradesh. Auro Textiles and Mahavir Spining Mills, both subsidiaries of Vardhman Textiles, were given permission by the single window clearance and monitoring authority at its meeting, a Government spokesperson told IANS. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh presided over the meeting. Auro Textiles has proposed to invest Rs. 228.58 crore with employment potential of 392 people, while Mahavir Spinning Mills proposed to Rs. 330.28 crore with employment potential of 860 people.
Vardhman Textiles is a subsidiary of Vardhman Group, a leading textile conglomerate having a turnover of US $ 1.1 billion. Spanning over 22 manufacturing facilities in five states across India, the Group business portfolio includes yarn, greige and processed fabric, sewing thread, acrylic fibre and alloy steel.
