
Recently, the Turkey Ministry of Economy’s General Directorate of Imports released the final decision on anti-dumping probe into polyester textured yarn that the country imports from several countries including Vietnam.
Subsequently, According to the Vietnam Competition Authority (VCA)under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Turkey will be imposing 34.81 per cent to 72.56 per cent anti-dumping duties on Vietnam products. The VCA further added that the impact of anti-dumping duties on Vietnam exports of polyester textured yarn would be substantial.

After Korteks, Mensucat Sanayive Tic. A.S lodged a lawsuit, in the month of May. Turkey began the anti-dumping probe into polyester textured yarn that was being imported particularly from Thailand and Vietnam. However, this is not for the first time that the Turkey has conducted anti-dumping probe into Vietnam fibres. It has already imposed anti-dumping duties on yarn of man-made or synthetic or artificial staple fibres which the country imports from Vietnam, Malaysia, Greece, Pakistan and Thailand.
