
In a recent joint Cabinet meeting in Bangkok, both the countries have agreed to strengthen their trade relationship in various sectors such as textile and footwear. In a process take the bilateral trade to US $ 20 billion by 2020, Vietnam has urged Thailand to increase its investment in the country. Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung assured investors that his country would create all favourable conditions for them to establish and develop stable businesses.
The two sides will work to increase people-to-people exchanges through the Vietnam-Thailand and Thailand-Vietnam friendship associations.
