
SM Mannan (Kochi), the President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) averred the garment industry is firmly committed to achieving US $ 100 billion in export revenue by 2030.
He said this after the current board of BGMEA led by BGMEA president paid tribute by placing wreaths at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
According to the president of BGMEA, the organisation’s present board is operating under the belief that everyone in the nation would have a better life and profit from freedom.
Former BGMEA president and Bangladesh Awami League Industries and Trade Affairs Secretary Md Siddiqur Rahman, former BGMEA director Md Khosru Chowdhury, current Senior Vice President Khandoker Rafiqul Islam as well as Vice Presidents Md Nasir Uddin and Abdullah Hil Rakib were present on the occasion.
Present BGMEA Directors including Asif Ashraf, Md Imranur Rahman, Shovon Islam, Md. Ashikur Rahman (Tuhin), Anowar Hossain (Manik), Mesbah Uddin Khan, Shams Mahmud, Rajiv Chowdhury, Md. Jakir Hossain, Nusrat Bari Asha, Md. Mohiuddin Rubel, Barrister Shehrin Salam Oishee, Md. Nurul Islam, Saifuddin Siddiquie Sagar and Md. Rezaul Alam (Miru) were also present, among others.
Inspired by the spirit of the Great Liberation War, BGMEA President SM Mannan (Kochi) unitedly called on everyone to step forward to construct a prosperous and prosperous ‘Smart Bangladesh’ by 2041, realising the dream of the Father of the Nation, ‘Golden Bangladesh,’ which is the vision presented by the Honourable Prime Minister.
