The Private Industry and Investment Advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Salman F Rahman has maintained the Government recognises ‘Logistics’ as a thrust sector even as he claimed that the process was on to formulate a National Logistics Policy.
As per reports, he made these observations at a recent event organised by the Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) in Bangladesh to launch its white paper titled FDI in Logistics Sector, which is a follow-up to the day-long event on the same topic, hosted by it in May this year.
Stating, “In this difficult time of massive global distribution, we remain committed to be an integral part of the global supply chain,” the Private Industry and Investment Advisor to the Bangladesh PM opined the National Logistics Policy will aid investment and cater to the need of the economy in the long run even as he expressed his happiness on the launch of the White Paper, brought out by NCCI, adding it “will benefit all the stakeholders in contributing in policy formulation and its proper implementation as well.”
