Epic Group, one of the leading apparel manufacturers of the world, has appointed Gilles Fries as its Group CEO.
With a strong experience of more than 3 decades in leadership roles with apparel multinational companies such as Li & Fung, Danone, Groupe Vivarte and C&A, Gilles (58) is an expert of retail, buying and worldwide sourcing. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commercialesd’Angers (ESSCA) in France.
In Li & Fung he served as an Executive Director, supply chain solutions prior to which he was MD of Andre – the buying office in Hong Kong for the French retail group, Vivarte.
The Board of Directors of the Group announced the appointment of Gilles Fries and said that he will help build the ‘Epic of tomorrow’ and deliver Group’s ambitious development plans, working hand in hand with Chairman Ranjan Mahtani, Directors Sunil Daryanani and Dinesh Virwani.”
