China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia and India have all upped their respective apparel exports to Canada during November ’20 over November ’19.
Canada has grown on yearly basis in its total apparel imports by 14.65 per cent in the month valuing US $ 745.35 million and it seems like all Asian countries it has grabbed the share.
China remained the top shipper with US $ 276.38 million worth of export values to Canada, increasing its shipment by 26.23 per cent on year-over-year (Y-o-Y) basis.
China’s contribution to total import value of Canada was 37.08 per cent, which is much lower than its own contribution of 46 per cent, which peaked in the month of August in 2020.
Vietnam remained second top shipper with US $ 90.94 million apparel shipment to Canada, marking 21.80 per cent yearly growth in November ’20.
Bangladesh clocked US $ 81.64 million in its shipment of apparels to Canada, noting a Y-o-Y surge of 26.58 per cent in November ’20, while another emerging exporter to Canada – Cambodia – upped by 31.12 per cent to US $ 70.24 million worth of shipment value to Canada.
As far as India is concerned, it tapped US $ 20.24 million – marginally ahead of USA which valued US $ 20.17 million – which is 27.13 per cent growth on yearly basis.
