
Ashutosh Kumar Singh, In-charge (Deputy General Manager) of Handicrafts and Handloom Export Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of Textiles (MoT) has been allegedly caught red-handed by CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) while trying to give bribe to a Delhi Police Inspector Kehar Singh. A sum of about Rs. 3 lakh has been recovered from Ashutosh and a case of disproportionate assets could soon be registered against him. The Inspector has also been taken into custody as he was about to accept the bribe.

As per reports, there was a complaint of cheating against Ashutosh as he duped people by claiming to be a very senior officer. The CBI has also seized two Mercedes cars with red beacons from him. In the further searches at his homes in Delhi, Mumbai and Noida, the agency recovered Rs. 40 lakh in cash, several fake business cards in which he has claimed to be the Joint Secretary to Government of India, Officer on Special Deputation to Home Ministry and so on.
