
An agreement has been signed between India’s Oban Fashions Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of undergarments manufacturer Rupa and Company Limited and America’s Fruit of the Loom Inc. to sell, manufacture, distribute, advertise and sell innerwear and outerwear products in India, under their brand name.
Fruit of the Loom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Company (a Warren Buffet Company) headquartered in Kentucky, has become the second label after FCUK to be produced and marketed in India by Rupa.
The manufacturer aims to establish Fruit of the Loom as a premium brand in the Indian market. The products would be available in 30,000 outlets over the next five years.
