
In April-August 2025, Indian textile exports saw a growth of 0.02% compared to the previous year, while apparel exports saw an 5.78% increase. Cumulative exports of apparel and textiles from April to August 2025 increased by 2.52% over the same period in 2024, according to an analysis by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI).
For April-August 2025, textile exports reached US $ 8,348.19 million as compared to US $ 8,346.74 million in April-August 2024 while apparel exports reached US $ 6,765.72 million in April-August 2025 as compared to US $ 6,395.99 million in April-August 2024. Cumulative textile and apparel exports in April-August 2025 reached US $ 15,113.91 million as compared to US $ 14,742.73 million in April-August 2024.
In August 2025, Indian textile exports saw a 2.79% decline in growth compared to the previous year, while apparel exports saw a degrowth of 2.65%. Cumulative textile and apparel exports in August 2025 decreased by 2.73% compared to August 2024.
Textile exports in August 2025 reached US $ 1,696.82 million from an amount of US $ 1,745.59 million in August 2024, while apparel exports reached US $ 1,234.57 million in August 2025, compared to US $ 1,268.17 million in August 2024. Cumulative textile and apparel exports reached US $ 2,931.39 million in August 2025 as compared to US $ 3,013.76 million in August 2024.
