Indian School of Business (ISB) and Telangana have joined hands to promote the textile industry in the state.
ISB is India’s leading business school, and Telangana is focusing a lot on the promotion of textile industry.
On National Handloom Day on Friday, an MoU was exchanged between Professor Ashwini Chhatre of ISB and Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan in presence of Minister KT Rama Rao and Shailaja Ramaiyer, Director, Handlooms and Textiles, Telangana.
ISB will provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of schemes for the Department of Handlooms and Textiles, Telangana, and suggest measures for the economic growth of weavers in in the state.
AS per the MoU, ISB will evaluate the implementation and performance of the state-run policies for the state’s weaving community. The project is being taken up under Jump Start India at ISB initiative.
Telangana also celebrated the National Handloom Day by organising award functions and webinars on design, branding and marketing.
