
According to Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Indian entrepreneurs have expressed interest in boosting bilateral trade and commerce through large-scale joint venture investments in Bangladesh.
This was claimed by media reports, which cited BIDA Executive Chairman to this end.
Speaking at a press conference held at BIDA conference room in Dhaka recently, Md Sirazul Islam, reportedly, maintained Indian entrepreneurs were very interested to invest in Bangladesh even if they also offered to jointly invest 800 crore with Bangladeshi institutions.
Md Sirazul further, reportedly, added the ‘Trade and Investment Prospects between India and Bangladesh’ conference was recently held in Jaipur, while also underlining the seminar generated interest amongst the participants and at the end, nine memorandum of understandings (MoUs) and Expressions of Interests (EoIs) were signed between the parties concerned, mostly for joint ventures.
