
In yet another incident of fire, a handicrafts manufacturing unit gutted when a massive fire broke out in Dhan Laxmi Arts in Indian city Jodhpur. No loss of life was reported in the incident. It took at least two hours to douse the flame.
Combustible material present in the unit and wind spread the fire fast. Around a dozen fire tenders were deployed to douse the flame. At the time of incident some labourers were sleeping on the roof of the unit, learnt about the fire first, when they felt the heat and smoke.
“Rushing out of the unit, they immediately informed the unit owner and police and the fire stations were informed immediately, who rushed to the spot and began efforts to douse the fire,” a police official reportedly said.
