
The Chittagong Custom House has registered a healthy 42.56 per cent revenue growth in July, the first month of fiscal year 2022-2023, compared to the same period of last fiscal year.
Reports maintained this while adding this growth in revenue is despite the global crisis caused by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
It is obviously great news for the country’s economy, added the Joint Commissioner of the Chittagong Custom House Salahuddin Rizvi speaking to media.
It may be mentioned here, in July, Chittagong Custom House collected around Taka 4,839 crore than the Taka 4,482 crore target set for the month, registering 8 per cent increase even if in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal (FY ’22), the Chittagong Custom House collected around Taka 3,395 crore in revenues.
