The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority or BEPZA has recently signed an agreement with M/s Vanessa Enterprise Limited, a Chinese company pertaining to setting up Ladies Intimate Garments Accessories Company, at a cost of US $ 41.77 million, at the Ishwardi EPZ.
A press release issued by the BEPZA in this direction underlined that the fully foreign-owned company will employ around 4,028 Bangladeshi nationals in its manufacturing unit to produce around 299.52 million pieces of Bra Cup and PU Foam annually.
According to reports, Managing Director of Vanessa Enterprise Ltd. Choi Chun Ho and Member (Finance) of BEPZA Nafisa Banu signed the agreement recently on behalf of their respective organisation.
The signing ceremony took place at the capital Dhaka-based BEPZA Complex.
