M/s SSH (BD) Sustainable Fashion Co. Ltd., which is a Chinese entity is going to invest US $ 24.05 million to set up a high end apparel unit in Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) even as the BEPZA has recently inked a deal with the Chinese company to this effect at BEPZA Complex in capital Dhaka recently.
This is as per a press communiqué issued in this direction.
Investment Promotion of BEPZA Ali Reza Mazid Managing Director of SSH (BD) Sustainable Fashion Co. Ltd., signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations even as BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, was also present at the signing ceremony.
As per reports, M/s SSH (BD) Sustainable Fashion Co. Ltd., will produce 36 million pieces of different types of high end garment products (including Jackets, Trousers, Jeans, Shirt, Shorts, Cargo long, Blazer, Coat, Suit, Pant, Underwear, Jersey, T-Shirt, Knit-Bottom, Baby Bumper, Swimsuit, Sheath Dress, Hoodie, Uniform, etc) annually.
The new unit is also expected to create employment opportunity for around 2062 Bangladeshi nationals.
