
The SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) Foundation has actively supported 62 organisations and 390 entrepreneurs in adopting the principles of ‘Kaizen’ to enhance their business operations, leading to improved productivity and product quality.
This is as per media reports, which added the foundation has also been instrumental in creating awareness among 1,200 entrepreneurs about the implementation of Kaizen, encouraging more businesses to embrace these effective practices.
It may be mentioned here Kaizen is a concept of continuous improvement, which focuses on enhancing productivity and product quality without incurring additional costs even if this approach finds practical applicability across various industries, including commerce, banking, and healthcare.
The SME Foundation shared the information during a special event dedicated to addressing productivity development needs, exploring the global productivity situation, and highlighting the diverse initiatives taken by the foundation to foster productivity growth.
Stakeholders, including organisations, representatives and entrepreneurs from various industries, including readymade garments, leather, agriculture and food processing, light engineering, plastic, electrical and electronics, and handicrafts took part in the event.
