Bangladesh’s SME Foundation and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) have joined hands to work together for the development of cottage, micro, small and medium (CMSME) entrepreneurs.
As per a press release issued in this direction,DCCI Secretary General Afsarul Arifeen and SME Foundation Managing Director Md Mafizur Rahman signed a memorandum of cooperation in this regard on behalf their respective organisations, recently, in which was also, reportedly, present DCCI President Rizwan Rahman and SME Foundation Chairman Md Masudur Rahman.
At the signing ceremony, the DCCI President, reportedly, said that even though the CMSME sector sometimes faced different challenges like easy financing, innovation, skill and modern technology, industry infrastructure, it alone contributed more than 25 per cent of the GDP while adding the DCCI and SME Foundation would work together for the inclusive development of CMSMEs.
