
The 27th Annual General Meeting of Envoy Textiles Limited was successfully convened, adopting a virtual format to accommodate a substantial number of shareholders.
This event was reported in an official press release by the company recently.
The meeting featured the presence of notable individuals including retired Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury, appointed by the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court; Kutubuddin Ahmed, the founder and Vice-Chairman of Envoy Textiles Limited; Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed; Barrister Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman, an Independent Director who serves as Chairman of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee; Fakhruddin Ahmed, FCMA, FCS, an Independent Director who chairs the Audit Committee; Director Abdus Salam Murshedy; Rashida Ahmed; Sharmin Salam; Deputy Managing Director Barrister Shehrin Salam Oishee; and Company Secretary Saiful Islam Chowdhury, FCS.
Before commencing the formal proceedings, Managing Director Tanvir Ahmed provided an overview of the company’s overall situation and clarified the reasons behind the delay in holding the Annual General Meeting.
In addition to the routine agenda items, a special resolution to increase the company’s authorised capital from Taka 400 crore to Taka 475 crore was approved.
Furthermore, the election of new directors filled two vacant director positions, ensuring the continued governance and leadership of the organization.
