Azimul Islam, who is the Managing Director of Alif Group, has maintained Alif Group is working to revive C&A Textiles Limited and resume its operations.
This was underlined in media reports, which claimed Azimul stated this at a recent briefing even as the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, on 8 October, reportedly, allowed Alif Group to acquire C&A Textiles, which is a listed company from the textile sector, subject to complying with various conditions.
As per reports, the conditions also include restoring connections of gas and other utilities, resuming production of the company immediately and paying the company’s liabilities.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, Azimul, reportedly, stated that C&A Textiles has remained closed for the past five years and its gas connection remains disconnected as well, which he felt would be the biggest challenge towards resuming C&A Textiles’ operations.
