
More and more garment makers are embracing automation so as to increase productivity and become more competitive.
Media reports claimed this citing industry people while underlining almost all the compliant units are embracing automation with a renewed vigour even if the 157 LEED-certified units (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) have already automated major sections of the factories and many of these are producing sophisticated apparel items.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, Managing Director of Team Group Abdullah Hil Rakib, who owns a LEED certified apparel unit, reportedly, claimed he has a semi-automated production line to bring more efficiency in productivity while also manage time more effectively and become competitive.
“I have already installed many machines in the textile mills of the group. I have to adopt the new technologies for sustainability…,” meanwhile, reportedly, claimed Managing Director of DBL Group MA Jabbar interacting with the media while adding automation or use of modern machinery was important for maintaining the quality and increasing efficiency.
