Under Armour, renowned apparel and footwear manufacturer, intends to attain 20 per cent sales growth in Thailand.
This was recently confirmed by the firm’s exclusive Asian distributor Triple Pte Ltd.
Following its impressive gains in the clothing sector, the company expects its footwear sales in Thailand to also follow the same trends.
“We are keen to grow our footwear business at a faster pace than in the past. We expect its sales to increase to 35 per cent of total sales by 2020, which will be up by 25 per cent from what it was in 2018.” – Michael Binger, CEO, Under Armour
Binger said this during his recent visit to Thailand.
In its efforts to expand in Thailand, Triple Pte aims to open exploratory outlets of the company in the north of Thailand.
In addition to having a shop-in-shop in Mall Nakhon Ratchasima, another store is also being planned in Chiang Mai, a hugely popular tourist place in Thailand. There are also plans to open an outlet in suburban Bangkok.
After Singapore, Thailand is Under Armour’s second fastest-growing market in Southeast Asia.
