Samsøe & Samsøe, the Denmark-based fashion brand, announced the launch of its new denim collection.
This is a part of brand’s continual effort to promote sustainable business and reduce the use of plastics.
To be introduced in October 2019, The Blue Belief programme is the one the brand is excited about. It is a collection of jeans that are made of sustainable fabrics. Besides, advanced technology used in the production of these jeans helps reducing water consumption during the washing process.
Also, the jeans will be manufactured using either organic or 100 per cent recycled cotton, naturally oxidised studs, nickel-free zippers, recycled polyester yarns and jacron labels.
The brand also added that the finished processing too has been shifted to an eco-friendly laundry facility where advanced technology would help in washing that does not require any water.
What’s more! Harmless bleaching agents replace ozone to minimise water consumption.
The brand said, in a press release, that Blue Belief programme is a step towards Samsøe & Samsøe’s aim to implement more sustainable fabrics into its products.
Samsøe & Samsøe has also joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s ‘New Plastics Economy Global Commitment’, and is committed to minimise the consumption of single-use plastic through improved working methods and more training.
