The majority ownership of the Nuti Ivo SpA Group, an Italian business that specialises in leather goods, has been acquired by LVMH Métiers d’Art, a corporation with a presence in the leather, exotic skins, and metal industries. The price of the transaction was kept confidential.
Founded in 2015, LVMH Métiers d’Art provides continuous management over the production process of goods from start to finish, ensuring the sustainability of its supply chain. This is done in order to protect, develop, and ensure long-term access to raw materials and artisanal know-how for luxury players on a global level.
In 1955, Nuti Ivo SpA was established in Santa Croce sull’Arno. The firm, which has four production facilities around Italy and over 300 employees, is run by the second generation of the Nuti family.
The company has made significant technological and procedural advancements to the tanning industry thanks to a persistent dedication to research, and it has kept its equipment and organisational structures current with cutting-edge technology. Around 85 per cent of Nuti Ivo’s production is exported from its home territory of Tuscany.
These elements give Nuti Ivo Group the chance to work with some of the top premium companies in the world as clients. Investments in innovation and sustainability have helped the Nuti Ivo Group stand out throughout the years.
“We are excited to integrate Nuti Ivo Group within LVMH Métiers d’Art and look forward to the opportunities it will unleash,” explains Matteo de Rosa, CEO of LVMH Métiers d’Art.
Fabrizio Nuti, president and CEO of Nuti Ivo adds, “Becoming part of a group like LVMH Métiers d’ Art is a natural evolution towards our future. After more than 40 years of collaborations with the best brands in the world, it is a great recognition.”
