A delegation of Toray International is expected to visit the province of Quang Ninh, Vietnam in November with an intent of starting a garment plant.
Toray International, which is one of the largest clothing manufacturers in Japan, plans to set up this plant in the industrial park of Texhong Hai Ha.
The plant, which will be its first in Vietnam, is expected to cost several millions of dollars.
The representatives are also expected to be in the city of Danang to be a part of APEC Economic Leaders’ Week that will be held from 5th to 11th November 2017.
The event is expected to catch the attention of leading entrepreneurs and businessmen across the globe.
Today, Japan is Vietnam’s second largest foreign investor with projects worth US $ 46.15 billion.
One of the major reasons for the business investment made by Toray International and several other Japanese business establishments in Vietnam has been efforts of APEC to enhance its trade liberalisation.
Additionally, Vietnam is a part of several free trade agreements that lures many foreign investors.
