Dehradun-based Adventure Compass, manufacturer for all types of adventure sports equipments and apparel, is now moving into multi-direction. The company is working to start manufacturing of waterproof garments and down the line, it does have the plan to explore the export market as well.
Currently, the organization is working with Indian armed forces, various Government agencies as well as India’s top tracking organisations.
Amit Mamgain, Director of the company stated, “We are an expert in our product category and niche products like tent, sleeping bags with technical features. Production cost is comparatively less for us. There is scope of improvement in our production infrastructure and we are working on the same, like adding seam taping machines. All this should help us explore export opportunities.” He further added that due to Make In India initiative, there were more opportunities for players like him.
Importing raw material from the US, Taiwan, and China, the company uses mainly Nylon to strengthen its products. “Quality is our forte and I want to make the best quality waterproof shoes also in India which is not being done till now,” concluded Amit.
