With an aim to expand its global reach, outdoor adventure brand Woodland has done an agreement with Chinese leading leather shoes brand enterprises Aokang International. The deal will pave the way for Woodland to sell products in about 5,000 retail outlets of Aokang in China. Starting May this year, the Woodland stocks will be available at 150 outlets in China in the first phase.
Woodland products are already available at about 1,000 stores globally, including Hong Kong, Russia and Dubai. This figure will reach 6,000 once it starts sales at all Aokang stores.
“After testing the market with 150 stores initially, we shall scale up stocks by September and be available in Aokang stores across China,” Harkirat Singh, Managing Director at Woodland was quoted as saying.

“The collaboration helps Aokang to expand existing business scope and channels. It is also good for the company’s long-term planning and development needed to grow in the global market,” added Zhentao Wang, Chairman at Aokang International.
Aokang products will also be available at Woodland stores and its online platform in India. Similar collaboration is under consideration for South African countries and Canada.
