
A deal has been inked between US retail giant Walmart and the Renfro Corporation. The agreement aims to create 440 jobs at Renfro’s manufacturing facility in Fort Payne, Alabama.
The deal is part of Walmart’s January 2013 US Manufacturing Commitment to buy an additional US $ 250 billion in US products supporting American jobs over 10 years. Renfro Corp. currently has 605 employees and is the largest employer in Fort Payne’s hosiery industry.

The Renfro Corporation, a global leader in the design, manufacture, marketing, merchandising and selling of legwear products in North America and selected international markets, has been a long time producers of socks for Walmart under brands such as Fruit of the Loom, Russell, Dr. Scholl’s, Faded Glory, among others.
