Vyshlo has announced the launch of its peer-to-peer fashion rental and resale platform across major metropolitan cities in India, targeting the premium occasion wear segment with a circular fashion-led business model.
The platform enables vendors and individual users to list designer occasion wear for rental, resale and direct purchase, covering categories such as lehengas, sarees, sherwanis, gowns, Indo-western apparel, festive wear, menswear and kidswear. The company said the service includes doorstep delivery, collection and professional dry cleaning as part of the rental process.
Alongside peer-to-peer listings, Vyshlo said it has partnered with designers and also introduced its own curated collection to provide customers with access to premium occasion wear through a single platform.
Founded following a trademark dispute involving its earlier brand identity, VastraLoop, the company said it rebuilt the business around the idea of making premium fashion more accessible without permanent ownership. According to the company, the platform combines rentals, resale and circular fashion commerce into an integrated ecosystem aimed at modern consumers seeking flexibility and variety in occasion dressing.
The company stated that India’s wedding and occasion wear market, valued at more than US $50 billion annually, presents a significant opportunity for alternative fashion consumption models. Vyshlo said the platform is designed to address the growing demand for premium looks for weddings, festive celebrations and social events without the high costs and wardrobe redundancy associated with one-time purchases.
Vyshlo also allows users to monetise underutilised wardrobes through rentals and resale listings, extending the lifecycle of garments and supporting circular fashion practices. The platform features a “Vyshlo Moments” function that tracks how many events a garment has been worn for, reinforcing its sustainability-focused positioning.
The company stated that its rental model is intended to reduce overconsumption in fashion by enabling garments to be professionally maintained and reused across multiple occasions, thereby lowering demand for fast-fashion production.
Following its India launch, Vyshlo said it plans to expand into the United States in the fourth quarter of 2026, targeting cities including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Houston. The company is headquartered in California, with its India operations based in Hyderabad.
